What is required of instructors\/lab instructors\/subject matter experts? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

KPU faculty or staff are expected to include some climate change content in their course, lab, program or other work at KPU. If teaching a course, you would have at least one assignment focused on climate change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have resources? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes! We\u2019ve set up an instructor Moodle site where there are resources, including documents, video interviews with climate experts and ideas for dealing with climate anxiety. We are working on sample assignments that can be easily adapted for any class, lab or program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once I\u2019ve added a climate change assignment to my class\/lab\/program, what next? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That depends on how involved you would like to be! We would appreciate having you add an optional student survey to your course website, to ask students about their experience. We also would like to share more examples of student work on the Climate+ Challenge website as time goes on. If you\u2019re interested in sharing or showcasing student work, please get in touch with Christina Shorthouse at christina.shorthouse@kpu.<\/a>ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m interested in doing more, how can I be involved? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have climate coffee gatherings for instructors twice a month. Email Christina Shorthouse at christina.shorthouse@kpu.ca<\/a> to be included. If you\u2019re already on the Moodle site, you will automatically be included and the gathering takes place on Teams.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
