Dr. Kyle Mitchell is an Instructor of Sociology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. His teaching and research reflect a deep interest in social and ecological justice issues including the intersecting inequalities that define peoples’ daily realities. 

Kyle received his PhD in Sociology from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, (2018), MA in Sociology from Simon Fraser University (2007), and BA in Sociology from Simon Fraser University (2004). 

Kyle’s research focuses on water inequality, the human right to water and the idea of the water commons in the broader context of neoliberal globalization. He is passionate about connecting with students on social and ecological justice issues that matter most to them.
