Her plays, performances and installation projects have been seen in galleries, artist-run centres, grubby bars and proper theatres as well as in parks, on a lake, on a train and once in an airplane hanger. She deeply believes in community empowerment and has initiated and lead many collaborative projects with youth at risk and in under-served communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicola is grateful to live and love on the ancestral and unceded territories of the x\u02b7m\u0259\u03b8k\u02b7\u0259y\u0313\u0259m (Musqueam),&nbsp;S\u1e35wx\u0331w\u00fa7mesh (Squamish), and s\u0259lilw\u0259ta\u026c (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations where she teaches Creative Writing, Interdisciplinary Expressive Arts and for the Inside-Out Prison Exchange program and for the Including All Citizens Pathway program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nicolaharwood.com\">www.nicolaharwood.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Creative Writing Nicola Harwood&nbsp;is an interdisciplinary artist and writer.
