Welcome to KPU WordPress sites. While the possibilities are endless when it comes to building a WordPress site but this can get confusing at the beginning. However, through these various modules we are going to help you connect the dots, hopefully this will be an easy sail for you as you begin to use WordPress.

At its core, WordPress is a content management platform which helps manage your content. This could be in form of a blog, a website, an eportfolio, a discussion board, and the list goes on. Now for the classroom, it could be used for reflective journals, team assignments, project sites, or simply a course website. Whatever it may be, WordPress is able to house all your content or use plugins to assist you in displaying your information. WordPress makes it easy for non-programmers to effectively build an accessible website of content you wish to display using simple text editors.

KPU’s WordPress is hosted on Canadian servers which meets FIPPA. All the tech pieces of maintaining a WordPress site is managed by our system administrators, so you don’t need to worry about things like setting up a domain, storage space, etc. However, you do have to consider the look & feel of your site (selecting a theme), how to build your site (selecting a text editor), and how your site functions (using plugins).

You will need your KPU ID and credentials to access KPU WordPress.
