The Surrey campus recording studio is a dedicated recording space to allow instructors to easily record high quality instructional videos with the touch of a button and leave with a finished video file.

If this is your first time…
The Surrey campus recording studio is a Do-It-Yourself recording studio. This means you simply book a time to come in, the studio will be solely reserved for you, do your recording, and you leave with a high-quality instructional video. There is no need to adjust lighting, camera or sound, the recording space is fully equipped and setup for optimal recording.

Uses
Why the Surrey Recording Studio?
Short Presentations
Create high-quality short videos to supplement lectures to help reinforce concepts that are harder to comprehend.
Lecture Recordings
Record a full lesson for the use of asynchronous course content or if you are unable to make class.
Audio Recordings
Use the space for recording audio slides or audio voiceovers.
Teleprompter
The studio is equipped with a teleprompter, so you can read right off a script without like reading off a script.
Accessible
The studio is equipped with height adjustable desk & chair to allow for standing or sitting.
Green screen
The studio is equipped with green screen and a still KPU background. Minimize background distraction.

Prepare your content
Prepare your slides or content materials prior to coming in. You will need to bring your laptop for content. (If you need help with this, please specify in your booking.)
Self-Service Recording
Show up to your recording session! There will be instructions in the room on how to optimally setup for recording. Allow ample time to re-record.
