How might it feel to use tech that is inaccessible? Imagine sending a text message from underneath your desk where you can’t see the screen; or turning your speakers off and watching an instructional webinar.

These scenarios might seem frustrating to imagine, but for learners who face learning technologies that are not accessible, it can be more than just frustrating — it can be a barrier to meeting course outcomes.

This website has been designed to provide KPU faculty and instructional staff with tools and strategies that can support technology accessibility provide students with more equitable learning experiences.

Digital Literacy Materials for Post-Secondary Educators

This resource site is created by BC Campus to support faculty incorporate digital skills into any post-secondary course to equip students with the ability to exist, contribute, express, critically analyze, and stay healthy in digital spaces.

WCAG Minimum Level Guideline (Level – A)

This article provides Web Content Accessibility Guidelines that outlines a minumum standard for all users creating new content in KPU platforms. These guidelines cover four aspects of accessibility that are Perceivable, Operable, Understandable and Robust to make images, navigation and content readable and easier to understand.
