Putting it all together
Try a reflection
As you’ve moved through this workshop, you’ve learned what is involved in reflective thinking and communication. You’ve also learned two models that can guide you in structuring your reflection, What? So What, Now What? and Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle. You’ve also compared weak reflective writing with stronger examples so that you have a stronger sense of what components to include (and not to include) in your work.
Now, it’s time to apply this learning by creating your own short reflection.
You can either choose to start on a reflection that you’ve been assigned in class, or to create a short practice reflection on your own.
Here are the steps to follow:
1. Choose a topic for your reflection (or use the topic assigned by your instructor for this workshop)
2. Follow the What?/So What?/Now What? prompts in the tool below. Aim to write at least 50-100 words for each section.
3. Export your reflection as a PDF in the final step (if you are doing this workshop as part of a class, you may need to download this PDF to submit as an assignment).
